This suffering should not continue.

Now is the time to address this pressing humanitarian issue which affects so many lives and undermines basic human dignity. Our society should no longer tolerate a status quo that perpetuates a permanent underclass of persons and benefits from their labor without offering them legal protections.

I am currently with my new wife in the Philippines I am looking for an attorney to assist me in the filing of the necessary forms to bring her to the states. I will return home on the 20th of August and will be looking to start the process as soon as possible. I agree with urban sailfish. Immigrants are great, and by and large help the economy. But I think that immigrants should be ineligible for welfare and be required to purchase medical insurance. Yes, I know a "requirement" isn't so libertarian, but it is far preferable to taxpayers funding their health care. I work in a hospital, and while the immigrant patients are generally lovely people on a personal level, the fact that millions are being spent on them by people who didn't ask them to come over here is quite unfair.
